Serving a Purpose across Multiple Cities

Run Life's Course Hope for the Homeless
Make a Difference by Getting to the Finish Line

Run or walk with us for a purpose.  Join thousands of community-minded and socially conscious runners and walkers across the country as we work with these cities to build hope for the hopeless and restore dignity to the homeless through our gifts.

Starting with our February 1st 2019 5K on Super Bowl weekend in our Atlanta series with current and past NFL players, we distributed 300 blankets, socks and toiletry giveaways and donations to Back on My Feet (BOMF), Grady High School Athletic Department and Anonymous Hands.  Our Baltimore 5K/10K Challenge resulted in us distributing over 100 slightly used shoes being along with a financial gift distributed to BOMF. Our Los Angeles 5K/10K Challenge with 1K Kid’s Run resulted in over 150 slightly used shoes, 50 dresses and a financial gift to BOMF and Anonymous Hands.  Hosted by Oakland Raiders’ Tahir Whitehead, the November race was a salute to veterans of which veterans and BOMF members were cheered on and personally met Whitehead and the Oakland Raiderettes, participated in a Grooves dance workout led by celebrity choreographer, Kennis Marquis, and were treated to a Raiders home game.

Register to run for a purpose and receive a commemorative finisher’s medal and tee-shirt (while supplies last).

We hope to see you on race day in 2020 at these planned locations – Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami (SuperBowl weekend), New Orleans, Oakland.

THE CHALLENGE - 2 Races 2 Medals

Some of our races include a challenge for those who want to get in those extra miles as a fitness challenge or preparation for upcoming half marathons and marathons. Multiple distance races start at separate times, where possible, to allow participants to run both and earn 2 medals.  The faster you run the 1st one, the longer your break is for the 2nd one. And in select locations, we have a fun Grooves Dance challenge.  Why not challenge yourself and medal up for #MedalMonday

WHAT TO EXPECT

East Coast – 10K will begin at 6:45 AM.  5K will begin at 8:00 AM. West Coast -10K begins at 7AM. 5K will begin at 8:30 AM or 5:00 PM.

“Since taking office last year, I have become acutely aware of homelessness in Council District 6 and across the City of Atlanta. My office and I have been working diligently with partners in the city to address the issue, so I am proud to help support Run Life’s Course 5k’s efforts to raise money for ‘Back on my Feet’ in Atlanta.”

 – Councilmember Jennifer N. Ide, Atlanta City Council District

WHO ARE WE?

Run Life’s Course is a motivational arm of The RLC Group, Inc. focused on encouraging purpose and passion for the well-being of self and others through running. The more we serve the better our lives become. Since 2010 Run Life’s Course has been sponsoring football camps for the youth in Baltimore, Maryland, Newark, New Jersey and New York City yielding technology gifts that impact the furtherance of educational initiatives. Run Life’s Course has additionally sponsored groups of 50 kids from Ocala and Orlando, Florida to tour all the Division 1 colleges in the southern part of the United States. Recognizing the hidden impact on homelessness and poverty on the youth in America, recently Run Life’s Course has partnered with other groups across the country in Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles on feeding the homeless initiatives. Focused on the impact of the disadvantaged youth’s educational future and homelessness prevention, the races will donate 1/3 of all participant registration costs to the Back on My Feet and local schools or other similar non-profit organizations.

CAUSE

Proceeds Go to the Following Charities Based on the Operating City

A nonprofit organization that uses running as a means to promote self-sufficiency among people experiencing homelessness.

A nonprofit organization that collaborates with 60 agencies to provide housing and services to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in and around New Orleans.

MAKE AN IMPACT

The new homeless were just one or two paychecks off from being able to afford shelter.  Some are a couple of months away from shelter if they could just afford to get to work or get additional training.  Let’s change the narrative and help them recover and get back on their feet.  Every run/walk registration helps!

Register today and see how far an investment in YOU can go to help OTHERS!
